Cries of a Quite Calloused Mind: A Choleric Poetry & Prose Collection

Following Sighs of a Once-Defeated Heart comes Cries of a Quite Calloused Mind, Laurentia Spirek’s second collection of poetry and prose. It is currently a work in progress, with 34 poems exploring the messy depths of navigating relationships, grappling with the world’s myriad injustices, unearthing trauma, and processing the aftermath of a psychotic episode that shattered her most deep-seated assumptions.

From picking up the pieces of her creative spirit to attempting to mend relationships strained by her psychosis and documenting her changes that followed her crisis through her poetry, Cries of a Quite Calloused Mind is a deeply introspective project by Laurentia Spirek that she is excited to share with the world when it is ready.
